Thiru.P.T.Natarajan Nadar Avl, a great visionary and optimist popularly known as PTN in and around Thirumangalam was a successful agriculturist & a great business man. He established a grocery store in his home town in the year 1954.
P.T.Natarajan & Sons, Sivanandha Modern rice & oil mills were established by him in the year 1964 at 429/142, Virudhunagar Road, Tirumangalam in an area of 1.75 acres.
Thiru.P.T.NatarajanAvl had few problems at the beginning and the entire unit was shutdown for the period of six months. Later with dedication and his hard work as a sole proprietor, he lifted up the business to the next level. In the year 1974 his elder son Thiru.N.KesavanAvl joined hand with him. In the following year 1975, his son Thiru.N.SivanathamAvl and in 1976, his son Thiru.N.AmaranAvl joined hands with their father and took part in the development of the organisation.
In the year 1979,his sonThiru.N.JeyapandianAvl, joined the organisation and the entire unit was built. The entire unit was restructured and registered as partnership concern with his 6 Sons.In 1986 his other sons along with Thiru.N.JothiRamalingamAvl and Thiru.N.DevarajanAvl joined and the unit was completely renovated as MODERN RICE MILL and successfully renamed it as SIVANANDHA MODERN RICEMILL.
On Feb 10th 1986, the Groundnut oil was started by his 6 sons and renamed as P.T.Natarajan&Sons,SIVANANDHA MODERN RICEMILL & OIL MILL. In 1990 another unit, Gingelly oil production was started at the same premises. In 1991, an another unit, Coconut oil production was also started at the same premises. The raw materials used are chosen from the finest products.
In the year 1992, the life of the great legend came to an end and he attained eternity on 24.03.1992. From 1992, the market has been widened to next level by opening the shop at Madurai in our own building. He had set up a will to make unity among his children, stating that the property should not be distributed or split until his younger grandson attains 21 years. The sons after the death of his father added their mother Tmt.N.RajammalAvl to the concern. In the combined effort the business was extended in a new building at Madurai, and various shopping complex were built.
The oils were packed in poly pouch packets as per latest trend since 1998.The market was extended to North India in states of Maharashtra and MadhyaPradesh. In North India our Groundnut Oil is lovingly called as 'YELLOW WATER'.
In 2003, their grandsons joined hands into the business. From 2005 to 2011 together with the team effort and hard work, PTN OIL MILLS had made its way to leading food business operators like AdayarAnandhaBhavan Sweets & Snacks pvt ltd, MTR foods, and GRB Diary and merchandise exports for both oil & oil seeds. In 2010, PTN Rajammal New Modern Rice mill was established with great support in same hometown in area of 1.3 acres. Later in the year 2013 as per the will, the property was distributed among the sons.PTN Oil Mill Unit was given to Thiru.N.AmaranAvl and his son Thiru.A.Ashok Kumar. Thiru.N.AmaranAvl along with his family members set the new unit which was completely automated.
In the year 2015, Thiru.N.AmaranAvl with his full effort and innovative idea planned to start a new business in textiles at the same premises. In April 2016 he started as ‘SRI PARASAKTHI GINNING & OIL MILLS’ and is running successfully with the hard work and dedication to fulfil the vision of Thiru.P.T.NatarajanAvl.
